the flight of the conchords being nominated for multiple emmys means more to me than you know. if you don't know who they are, get to know them. i'm naming my children after these guys, in a non-creepy sort of way.

today, i washed my face with warm water for the first time since the start of summer.

cold water > warm water.

signs of boredom: extreme bathrooms

inside and outside views of the bathroom at the glass lounge in nyc

it isn't until you have absolutely nothing to do that you start to appreciate all the random channels that comcast has to offer and all the random shows on said channels. today: extreme bathrooms on the travel channel. you'd actually be surprised at how creative (sometimes heartless) people can get when it comes to designing bathrooms. like at the glass lounge in nyc (above), the giant mirrors in each of the men's and women's rooms are actually two way mirrors which showcase to passersby out on the street what people do when they think they're alone. there was also a self-cleaning bathroom, one that flushed using rainwater and watered plants at the same time, a urinal that pops out of the street at night, and another urinal that looks like a waterfall.

and then i watched when beaches attack. good god, please help me.

this got me salivating

my parents promised me a laptop for graduation, and dear lord, this is it. the dell studio 14z laptop is my wildest dreams come true. when i saw this, my heart stopped, my jaw dropped, and i realized that if i don't get this laptop, i will forever be incomplete. i haven't been this passionate about anything since i saw that butterfly ring at h&m.

don't laugh at me. i just really, really want this laptop.
